How to Use Polymeric / polymer / stabilizing sand for pavers

Method of application of SuperSand Bond polymer sand for a new paver job:

Polymeric or Polymer Sand for Paving Joints

  1. Install pavers and compact.
  2. Make sure the top of the pavers are dry. Sweep SuperSand Bond in between the paver joints and then compact.
  3. Sweep off all the excess sand on the paver surface. Insure SuperSand Bond lies below the top of the paver. (repeat step 2 if necessary).
  4. Direct a fine mist of water in the air to dampen all the SuperSand Bond joints. Dampen until there is some water retention on the paver joints (30 seconds).
  5. Minimize or avoid, if possible, walking on the pavers for at least 4 hours after the installation of SuperSand Bond.

Method of application of SuperSand Bond polymer sand for an existing paver job:

Polymeric or Polymer Sand for Paving Joints

  1. Pressure wash off all the existing paver joint filling material, from the top of the paver to the bottom.
  2. Do not combine with any other products (follow steps 2 to 5 of new paver job application).
NOTE: Do not apply on wet or damp surface since bonding unit action may cause SuperSand Bond to stick on surface and avoid proper sliding in joint. Do not use if rain is expected within 3 hours. Do not mix SuperSand Bond with cement or any other product. Avoid excessive watering or flooding of paved surfaces. Do not use this product as a mortar substitute.
